I usually feature the old parts of Georgetown in my blog but there is a lot more to see and enjoy.

The Penang Botanical Gardens are easily accessible by public transport from Georgetown.

A lovely place to go in the morning or early evening, when it is still not so hot.

Many people come to take their daily exercise and it is easy to forget that you are in a big city. Fresh air, bird song, wonderful nature all around you.

You may be lucky enough to see flowers on the lily pond. Or maybe even a frog or terripin.

So next time you are in Penang and have had a few days hectic site seeing, take yourself to the Botanical Garden and relax.. Perfect.
